The Golden Guitars are at the heart of it all - at the heart of the journey for both artists and fans alike. Celebrating recording excellence and showcasing the cream of Australian country music artists, and the songs that have left their mark on the fans throughout the past 12 months, the night is the pinnacle awards event for country music.

In 2025 we are celebrating 'all the colours of country' - the genres, the identities, the music. We are thrilled to have two of country’s hottest dynamos, Max Jackson and James Johnston as our Hosts for 2025. Their combined energy is sure to make magic on the night.

This event is much more than the presentation of the coveted Golden Guitars - it's a fast-paced concert that's a night of non-stop entertainment and special magic moments you won’t see anywhere else.

Commencing in 1973, the Awards are the nation’s longest running music awards and play a vital role in developing and promoting Australian country music talent.

Presented by Tamworth Regional Council, and Toyota Australia, the Golden Guitar Awards are the nation’s longest running music awards concert.
